Dr Argenta completed her undergraduate training at Wake Forest University with a major in biology and a minor in Italian Studies. In 2003, she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and joined the integrated plastics surgery residency at UPMC. Her research focuses on improving burn wound healing and preventing burn wound sepsis. Her clinical interests are in hand surgery, burn reconstruction, and third-world medicine.
