Biography

Sanjay Naran completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine.  Dr. Naran’s clinical and basic science research interests, performed under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph Losee, include oro-facial clefting, craniosynostosis, and skull reconstruction in the pediatric population. Dr. Naran is a member of the American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Plastic Surgery, The American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and serves on the Curriculum Committee for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Naran has over 42 published scientific articles and abstracts and over 119 scientific research presentations at regional, national and international meetings. He is also a contributing author to the recently published Current Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the upcoming editions of Ferraro’s Fundamentals of Maxillofacial Surgery, and Comprehensive Cleft Care.
