William D. Tobler, Jr. MD was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame du lac near South Bend, Indiana.  Following this, he matriculated at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  Dr. Tobler then completed a General Surgery residency at the Boston University School of Medicine and is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  Currently, he is an independent resident in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Tobler has published scientific manuscripts, abstracts and a book chapter on specific topics in fields such as Skull Base Surgery, General Surgery, Trauma and Critical Care Medicine.  He also has presented his research and collaborations at local and national meetings.
