The Ross H. Musgrave Lectureship

Dr. Hall-Findlay specializes in cosmetic breast and abdominal contouring surgery and is internationally recognized for her contribution to the field of plastic surgery. After receiving a BSc from McGill University in Montreal Quebec, she earned an MD degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. She is board certified in plastic surgery in both Canada and the United States.Dr. Hall-Findlay developed a technique recognized around the world as the “Hall-Findlay Technique,” in which her mechanism for breast reduction and mastopexy, with or without an implant, provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance, a longer lasting breast shape, and with fewer scars. She has performed surgical demonstrations of this technique on every continent except Antarctica.

In 2010, Dr. Hall-Findlay was the recipient of the prestigious Special Achievement Award from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Board of Trustees for her contribution to plastic surgery. She is a member of the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), an examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and past president of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Hall-Findlay has contributed greatly to the literature. She authored the well-received textbook, Aesthetic Breast Surgery: Concepts and Techniques, published in 2010. She co-authored Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Breast, and Grabb’s Encyclopedia of Flaps: Three Volume Set, a comprehensive reference on surgical flaps for reconstructing defects in all parts of the body, currently in its third edition. Dr. Hall-Findlay has been practicing plastic surgery in Banff, Alberta, Canada since 1983 and is the current owner and manager of Banff Plastic Surgery, a private surgical facility.
