Jordan Fishman, MD
Jordan Fishman received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania and then matriculated to the Tulane University of Louisiana earning both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health Degrees. He subsequently completed a general surgery residency at the New Jersey Medical School of Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey as well as a two year surgical research fellowship. Jordan is a member of both the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies, board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and the recipient of numerous teaching awards throughout his training. He has published over 20 peer reviewed manuscripts and abstracts and has presented and numerous regional, national, and international meetings.
Jordan was attracted to the University of Pittsburgh for training in plastic surgery because of the strong reconstructive microsurgery experience and the industry wide reputation for teaching excellence. After completion of his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency, Jordan will remain with the department as the microvascular reconstructive surgery fellow.
