Justine S. Kim, MD
Justine Kim earned her Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013. She then graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2017. During medical school, she
pursued basic science and clinical translational research interests in peripheral nerve injury repair and quality improvement. She began her surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2017.
I chose Pitt because of its stellar reputation as a training program for Plastic Surgery with regard to operative experience, research opportunities, and excellent teachers and mentors. I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative team dynamic at Pitt.
Dr. Kim has published scientific manuscripts on a variety of topics including peripheral nerve injury and repair, pressure ulcers, burn treatment, progenitor cell therapy in vascular injury, quality improvement in the outpatient setting, and safety in aesthetic procedures. She has also contributed to numerous abstracts and presentations at local, regional, and national scientific meetings.
