Walter Joseph, MD
Dr. Walter Joseph received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University in Behavioral Neuroscience, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors. He then attended medical school at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, during which he participated in a 1-year research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center with Dr. Babak Mehrara, investigating lymphatics and the surgical treatment of lymphedema. Dr. Joseph graduated medical school as an inductee of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was thrilled when he matched into Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Joseph was immediately drawn to the “family” mentality of Pitt Plastic Surgery and quickly realized that this was a place where one will get unparalleled training and will have fun while doing so. The opportunities offered by Pitt Plastic Surgery and the city of Pittsburgh alike are endless, and he knew that this program was the perfect match for him.
