I am a rising fourth year medical student at the University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health. I am a current Research Fellow in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under Dr. Asim Ejaz.
I was born in Uyo, Nigeria and immigrated to the United States with my families at the age of 11 settling in Maryland. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland-College Park and graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, I spent several years at the National Institutes of Health where I studied transcription factors binding and matriculated to University of Wisconsin incoming class of 2021.
I am passionate about health equity, reducing barriers to health care access, and addressing health disparities among underrepresented populations. Within plastic surgery, I am interested in reconstructive microsurgery, nerve regeneration, and skin wound healing after burns and radiation.
My hobbies include running, playing soccer, learning languages, drawing, and exploring new trivia spots.
