Elizabeth Kenny graduated from Duquesne University with a B.S. Degree in Biology prior to matriculating to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2014. During her medical education, she was a member of the Physician-Scientist Training Program and was awarded the prestigious pre-doctoral NIH TL1 award to study lipid-mediated cell death and inflammation. Dr. Kenny began her surgical training as an integrated resident within the Department of Plastic Surgery at UPMC in 2020.
Dr. Kenny has published manuscripts in both basic and clinical projects relevant to cell death and inflammatory signaling, Critical Care Medicine, and Plastic Surgery. She has also contributed to numerous abstracts and presentations at local, regional, and national meetings.
