Jason J. Yoo, M.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Plastic Surgery. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania graduating with honors in molecular biology and a minor in chemistry. He then earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his integrated plastic surgery training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Health System where he found his passion for restoring extremity function. He completed subspecialty training in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at the University of Maryland/R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
Dr. Yoo's clinical interests include the treatment of upper extremity fractures, peripheral nerve surgery, and degenerative joint disease as well as a wide spectrum of plastic, reconstructive, and microsurgery. He has a distinct appreciation for the veteran population and serves as the acting Chief of Plastic Surgery at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
