Shayan Sarrami, MD, is a clinical and basic science research fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He received his medical degree at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center after completing his undergraduate biology degree at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Sarrami primarily works with Carolyn De La Cruz, MD, to produce clinically applicable research for breast cancer patients, and he is passionate about his work with Kacey Marra, PhD, in her tissue engineering laboratory. Dr. Sarrami’s research interests include lymphatics and lymphedema treatment, breast surgery, and upper extremity reconstruction. He has multiple publications and presentation in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Sarrami is committed to producing reputable research geared towards optimizing treatment for patients.
