Shengyang Jin, MD

Shengyang Jin is a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh Adipose Stem Cell Center for the 2024-2025 academic year. Originally from Anhui, China, he completed his undergraduate studies in Clinical Medicine at Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University. Subsequently, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College (Tsinghua University). Following his graduation, he continued his career at the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, where he currently serves as an attending plastic surgeon. His primary interests include fat grafting, scar revision, and skin aging. As a principal investigator, he leads two research projects focusing on keloids and UV-induced skin hyperpigmentation. In his leisure time, he is a medical science popularizer, disseminating knowledge on medical aesthetics, scar prevention, and anti-aging to the public. He has amassed approximately 70,000 followers on social media platforms. During his free time, he enjoys watching NBA basketball games, gardening, and cooking Chinese cuisine, particularly Hunan dishes. He also delights in exploring various cuisines and scenic spots worldwide.
